Our last day with Active Adventures

We were all a bit sad today. It had been an incredible two weeks. Last night we were awarded Active Adventure hats. It was St. Patricks day, so Mel made Green eggs and ham. WE stopped at Lake Tekapo for a short walk along the shoreline and Marty and Elke did the zipline at the playground. Visited a small stone church that is still inuse and a statue of a herding dog.

We stopped in the town of Geraldine for lunch and a quick roam around. During our trip, we also had some quick stops. Hokatika was a coastal town and where I got my jade necklace- the fish hook. It represents strength and determination as well as safe passage during travel. It was perfect.

We had also stopped at Ship Creek- a coastal nature center.

Once we reached the airport, we said our "good-byes". We had such a great group. Sometimes you never know, but everyone was wonderful. We flew back to Auckland, rented a car and headed to Waitomo. Glow worms and caves tomorrow. Marty did an excellent job driving on the left side.
