Day 2 hiking
Today we hiked about 9 miles thru beautiful alpine meadows and a few old villages. An easier hike today. We met some goats and had another great picnic lunch. We were rewarded at the end of our hike with a gondola ride up to an exclusive alpine resort of Verbier- a famous ski area. ( very expensive) We were told the best in the world ski here. We arrived a bit early, so off to the local pub before another spectacular dinner.
I will not be writing for the next few days because we are hiking for the next 3 days at higher altitudes and spending two night is two different mountain huts. Dorm set up for sleeping so it will be an adventure. No internet, cell and minimal electric until Sunday night when we will be back in a hotel.
