Wolfhound Tours- Day 6- Wooded hike, pub stop, Adare
Our final day with Dave. This has been a great 6 days. Our group has been so much fun and it seems like we have known each other for alot longer. We exchanged contact info, so hopefully we will stay in touch with some. Again, there was a hiking option, and again only Marty, Emilie and myself opted to go. We hiked into the Glanteenassig Recreation area. It has two lakes, the upper lake has a boardwalk to get you around. Very scenic. Lots of sheep everywhere as well. Had to stop for the "Sheep Parade.
We made a lunch stop in Adare. There are several authentic thatched houses in the town and an old church. Then it was on to Dublin to say good-bye to our new friends. We had time for dinner, then bed because we had an early flight back home. This was truly an amazing trip.
We met back up with Dave and stopped at the Railway Tavern and met the owner Mike O'Neil. Had a drink and then took a picture of the group behind the bar. It was a typical, old, countryside bar with lots of charm.
